Choose one of the following creative projects. When you arrive we’ll provide a quick demonstration of each option and then you’ll dive in alongside friends. We’ll be on hand to answer questions and support as you enjoy the studio exclusively to yourselves.
OPTION 1: WATERCOLOR PAINTING EXPERIENCE: Relax into a calming, carefree creative experience inspired by our coastal community. Choose eight in-studio made clay-based watercolor pods. Then, paint a trio of Coastal illustrations (made exclusively for COMMON PROJECT by local artist Emily Henderson), or select a curation of California Wildflower designs. all printed on quality watercolor paper. Celebrate our seaside culture and take home authentic artwork worthy to display on your walls.
OPTION 2: ART JOURNAL EXPERIENCE: Travel back to your childhood art class with this carefree, whimsical project. Begin your creative journey with a blank, fine art journal—your personal space to play, doodle and draw. Using studio markers, pencils, oil pastels and watercolors, freely fill several pages in studio. Then, take your journal home and continue the process, escaping daily to weave creativity into your routine.
OPTION 2: MODERN MUG PAINTING/GLAZING: This is not your average pottery painting experience. COMMON PROJECT offers a selection of the finest glazes including underglazes and cone 5/6 textural finishes to achieve a modern, 14-ounce stoneware artisanal mug that will become part of your morning ritual. Each piece will be fired and ready to pick up in two weeks.
